Video: Making of Katy Perry’s The One That Got Away

Just released this morning, Katy Perry shows us a behind the scenes look at the making of the video for her hit single, “The One That Got Away”.  You’ll see a very young Katy and a much older Katy (80 years old actually!) going through various emotional roller coasters due to a terrible break-up–I’m sure many of us can relate to this.

Once again the costuming and effects are amazing.  Find out why Katy may have had to wear depends, why she was in the studio at 4:30am, and notice an appearance by Herman G. Sinitzyn–famously known for his role in The Hunt for Red October and ER—playing Katy Perry’s husband.

The Most Stylish Music Videos of 2011

2011 was met with a bevy of fashion-friendly music videos.  From Duran Duran‘s video loaded with supermodels from the ’90’s to Lady Gaga’s infused artistic collaborations.

We’ve picked our top 5 videos of 2011 based on their stylish/fashionable appeal.  That means we not only looked at clothing, but also make-up, setting, and overall styling of the video.

This list was quite difficult to put together.  Many videos were not only very stylish because of the fashions and overall styling/directing of the video, but also controversial.  For example, MONSTER by Kanye West almost made it on the list, but we felt the controversy (violence towards women, deadly models) behind it took away from the fashionable appeal and leaned more towards subjective art.

2011 MTV EMAs: 15 Iconic Images

Since its inception in 1994, the MTV EMAs have established a reputation as one of the most sensational music award shows in the world. Ground-breaking multi-platform viewing options combined with dazzling performances from A-list stars makes for an electrifying atmosphere where anything can happen. Past performers have included global superstars U2, Coldplay, Green Day, Rihanna, Beyonce, Shakira, Jay-Z, Madonna, Prince, Bon Jovi, Take That and many, many more.

This year’s MTV EMAs 2011 took place in Belfast live from the Odyssey Arena and it was as spectacular an event as it had promised. With the show broadcasting across MTV channels around the world there was bound to be  a few iconic moments captured on photograph.
